The UNC School of Nursing Mobile Health Clinic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Wake County. The clinic provides free health care to low-income individuals, people without health insurance and members of our community undergoing crisis situations.The Clinic was conceived and established by Marianne Cockroft, associate professor at the UNC School of Nursing, with funds she gathered from community organizations. It is almost exclusively operated with the help of volunteers, including UNC nurse volunteers, retired UNC faculty, and students.
